9 STYLISH CONVEX MIRRORS

Convex mirrors have emerged in many old master paintings, such as the well-known ‘The Arnolfini Portrait’ (1434) by Jan Van Eyck, the painting demonstrates that convex mirror has been applied as home decoration elements in Europe from 14 century. In France, and elsewhere in Northern Europe in the middle ages, a convex mirror was attributed magical powers. It was thought that, like a huge eye, the convex mirror could observe all around it and repel ill-forces. People are likely to place a convex mirror at home to prevent the entry of evil.

Today, from petite to grand in scale, simple to ornate, convex mirror is still a trendy option for the market of home décor, and the popularity for convex mirrors is keeping increasing. You can hardly flip a page in a design magazine without coming across a convex mirror, not to mention it is frequently seen on different home décor exhibitions.

Kimberley as a design motive company, we deliver diverse styles of convex mirrors in different sizes to suit different spaces. Let me introduce some of our convex mirrors.

Sunburst Convex Mirror

During the reign of Louis XIV, ‘The Sun King’, many pieces of furniture and architectural features were decorated with the sunburst motif, Palace of Versailles is a good example. Convex mirrors with this element are great ideas for glitz and glam style.

Round Convex Mirror

A round convex mirror helps to soften a room full of right angles, it's simple but makes a difference.
